Office Hours, Monday, 2/9

The first thing Tyler found out Monday morning was that a coffin was possibly his least favorite place to wake up. As he rose from it, he looked less like an elegant vampire and more like a panic-stricken man who regarded his first lungful of fresh air as something about 500 times better than sex.

After he stood around just breathing for a few minutes, there was nothing more to do than to prop the other coffin in the room open a tad in case anyone else who appreciated air was still inside and scurry to his office like the mere act of doing something normal would make the last two days vanish.

He probably should have been preparing for that week's class, but instead he was gulping down coffee and trying to compose "Sorry I bit you" apology notes to Miss Bennet and Tony, rather desperately hoping they might prove unnecessary. He hadn't exactly looked like himself.

He was just lucky that Tony wouldn't hold the biting against him. If only because he had been a horrible priest at the time.

"Tyler," He said, in way of greeting. Still in the rumpled suit, but now he had coffee.

"Tony," Tyler returned, turning away from his computer. "Interesting weekend."

In the way getting a concussion was an interesting end to a fight.

"I think it was," Tony remarked dryly. "I married a couple--despite the objects of your ax carrying roommate--and met two vampires."

And the bit with Steve. But he had another person to mess with over that.

"There were two of them?"

Tyler failed at acting innocent.

"Oh yes, one of them hit on me and then bit me. And the other just hit on me."

Tyler closed his eyes and tried to regroup. "Tell me the one who just hit on you didn't look about nine. Because that's just gross."

No matter than he'd spent all weekend calling Claudia his beloved. That wasn't gross, just ... okay. Gross.

"No, from waking up in the church with him, it was your teaching friend. Try not to hold it against him that I was the one being despoiled this time around."

Tony's amusement knew no bounds. He blushed! He made a grown man blush.

Tyler laughed at that rather more than he should have, given the subject under discussion. He'd laugh first, and deal with how he actually felt about it later.

"Lestat was Nathan? I guess they look sort of similar..."

"And I was a tragically repressed Irish priest. I almost think I deserve an Oscar for that performance."

Or maybe a Crying Monkey.

Tyler snorted in agreement.

"You just look bizarre as a blue-eyed blond," he offered. "The accent, though, that was good. The accent would win you an Oscar."

"Yeah, it's just not my coloring," Tony admitted easily. Not that he looked too much out of shame.

"So. Are we going to have a problem?"

"Because you messed around with Nathan when you weren't you and Nathan wasn't Nathan?" Tyler shrugged, wondering if he really was entirely off the hook for drinking Tony's blood. "As long as he doesn't drink himself back to 1876 to cope, we're cool."

Tony looked thoughtful. "You might want to check on him. I think it was his first walk of shame."

And Tony, of course, did not help it.

"Hard subject to bring up," Tyler pointed out, leaning back in his chair. " 'So, you were a vampire who never shut up and you screwed around with my friend, how are you now?' "

He shook his head. "How's your wrist?"

"Try not to mention the blushing," Tony added oh so helpfully as he held up the wrist in question. "Shiny and new again."

Tyler groaned. "Now him blushing will be all I think about," he said, eying the wrist. "... Good."

He looked at Tony as if he wanted to say something more, but wasn't sure where to even start.

"I thought it was a nice role reversal from the weekend," Tony remarked with a smirk. He looked over Tyler for a moment, trying to figure out the best way about this.

Tyler broke first; he usually would, and thinking about how his alter ego apparently had an alter ego who was the whiniest vampire in the world was, marginally, easier than thinking about .... whatever Nathan and Tony got up to when they weren't themselves.

"Sorry I bit you."

Well, that sounded completely moronic.

"Apology accepted." Tony took a deep, calm breath before walking around the desk and kissing him firmly. "Stop whatever it is you're doing."

Tyler returned the kiss gratefully, hand going around to Tony's back. "Done. It was an apology note to you anyhow," he admitted.

Tony pulled back enough to give him a Look. "If I wanted to sleep with one of your friends while in my right mind, I would have the decency to ask for a threesome instead."

Tyler gave him a Look right back to thank him for that lovely mental image.

Tyler sighed and stepped back from Tony. "Do we really have to talk about this?"

Tony frowned, replaying the conversation in his head. He'd been trying to be good there!

"If you're going to be getting--" He wasn't going to say bitchy, but he was thinking it. "--whenever I sleep with someone, asking you to join in seems to be the best option to keep that to a minimum."

See, it all made perfect sense.
