Tyler already knew how the election turned out, at least in his world, so he wasn't sure why he kept checking the polling websites. Maybe it just gave him something to do until the minions showed up to make the posters, since he'd gotten in so early. (He hadn't exactly slept last night. Things were getting a little fuzzy around the edges in a way he missed.)

He finally dragged himself away from FiveThirtyEight.com and

Hey -

The school is sponsoring a science fair on Friday, Dec. 14, with a non-mandatory theme of "things you could use in an invasion." I'm thinking participation will mean extra credit for my students. It'll be open to faculty and students, and I'm working on the judging. Let me know if you want to volunteer for that or have other thoughts on the organizing..

I'll be sending out reminder emails between now and then and putting up posters. Otherwise, see you at the fair.

"Punctuality is important," she said impishly. "And I'd never hear the end of it if I was late after class."

"You betcha," she bounced. "Do we get to blow things up, for the science fair? Can I make them all glittery and shiny? The posters, I mean, not the experiments. Although an experiment on glitter could be pretty neat."

"It's shiny," Rikku said, pulling out a few blank pieces of posterboard. "Offensively, defensively, or both? I mean, in case of invasion, you're gonna want to have a huge firewall going, to keep people safe, right?"

Why this thread, indeeeeed....

Somebody might have been there with a set of lockpicks. Not for any particular reason, of course. Nor was there any particular reason for the picking of Tyler's office lock.

As you do.

There was, potentially, something vaguely Smoochy-shaped within that had to be taken without.

There might have been somebody else who was keeping a close eye on the hallway. Nothing they could do, right this instant, about the cameras but the masks and robes would cover that well enough.

Under the mask though, this someone was grinning. And glad enough that this office wasn't entirely unknown territory.

A small click, and the first figure opened the door with a satisfied nod, motioning for the other someone, the partner in crime, to follow him through the door.

Inside, there had better be their prize.

He cast his gaze about, a smirk pulling on the lips that were barely visible in the shadows under that mask.

"Paydirt."

"So. We wanna lug it out through the hall, or take the window. Window's faster, I think."

He was a fan of faster. And was pretty sure his companion here could handle windows anyhow.

"Lets us lock the door up again from the inside, good as new, too."
