The good thing about radio sharing how everyone kept falling asleep was that it made Tyler even more sure this wasn't a new and interesting form of his personal craziness.

Didn't make the dreams easier, though. Not when they were about torture, inappropriate interactions with students, stalking an ex-girlfriend, "science," and more torture. And sex with Veronica, which was its own kind of torture to think about.

The worst of it was, he could never be completely sure about the personal craziness thing. He had a long history of doing stuff he couldn't remember. That's why he was coming to stay with Tony; Jarvis could keep an eye on him overnight and sound an alarm if he ... well. If he went crazy.

It was, of course, totally about Jarvis.

"Thanks for letting me crash," he told Tony, mostly as a formality. It wasn't like he didn't end up over there pretty often anyhow.

"Not a problem," Tony said, there to greet Tyler as soon as Jarvis alerted him to the man's presence. And... looking casual. Veeery casual. "You leave the most interesting voicemails."

"I didn't even mention handcuffs," Tyler pointed out. The casual thing made him a little edgy. "Which puts me one up on ... did we ever figure out who you sent that one to?"

"Like it matters now." AKA, Tony was very open about his sex life and everyone else should be okay with that.

"I'm sure they're over it," Tyler agreed, and sat down on the edge of the bed. "I dunno. It was just a bunch of creepy dreams. In the one with you, I was ... don't laugh?"

He did not expect Tony to abide by this promise, yet he'd ask for it.

"Is it funny?"

"If you have a totally sick sense of humor, kind of." A beat. "There's a kid chewing on a rubber ball like a puppy."

"And this involves me somehow?" Okay, kinky.

[tyler_gone]

"Well, yeah," Tyler said. "Me and the kid with the ball hunted you down --- we were vampires, right? But we didn't eat you, just sort of knocked you around and waited for Steve. You belonged to him."

Definitely kinky.

That didn't get a laugh, but it certainly got more staring.

A lot more staring.

It made Tyler uncomfortable and he turned away. "Stupid dreams."

"Well." Tony huffed, so very put upon. "As long as you refrain from that while here."

That did get some bleak laughter from Tyler.

"What?"

"Try not to rough me up here?" Tony replied. "And don't bring any kids home, hmm?"

"If I lay a finger on you, lock me down." There was nothing light about Tyler's tone; he knew it was possible. "And kids ... no. I'm not that twisted."

Tony looked him over for a moment before nodding. "I'll keep that in mind."

"I know." Tyler's voice was quiet. He wouldn't be there if he didn't trust Tony.

Well. Tender moment over.

"Coffee?"

"Coffee," Tyler agreed.

But just then, his head was so heavy, and the bed was so soft ...

He didn't even get his shoes off before he was asleep again.

Which was... new. Considering how well they both slept.

So Tony only rolled his eyes once before throwing the blanket over Tyler. He could be nice sometimes!
