Atlas Gym, Friday Evening, 7/24

The thing about the gym staff was, they really weren't too bright about things like making you give your keys back when you quit. That went double if you kept staying past the time the gym closed anyhow. As long as he didn't expect to get paid, Tyler could pretty much come and go as he pleased.

He'd been taking advantage of that a lot this week. Tonight, he was going to stay late and put in a couple more weight circuits ... just as soon as he'd watched David & David Have Problems all the way through while lying on a couch in a disused office.

Hey, it made him laugh.

Tony sighed. "Did you try to find any other ways?"

"Like what?" Tyler asked, with real curiosity.

"You're the expert with children and fighting," Tony replied easily. "Was there another way?"

"It would have made her feel better if I'd made it more obvious that I was listening and validated her feelings."

Therapy talk. Sing-song. Tyler didn't hold it in terribly high regard.

"Hey, I speak fluent therapist."

Tony paused, watching the television for a moment before, "You could have asked her about her mother."

"That would have made everything better." Tyler's voice had gone very dry, a little distant. "So, what, you think I should wait it out?"

"I don't think it would hurt to wait it out."

"Not much else I can do anyhow," Tyler said, sulky now. "It's not a school thing. I can whine to Ghanima more but that's about it."

"No you're acting like a teenage girl as well."

"You're going to make me post mean things about you on Facebook, Tony."

"Going to change your status?" Tony suggested in mock horror.

No. Largely because he wasn't on Facebook to start with. The people who would seek him out and friend him would creep him out.

"Maybe," Tyler threatened. "'It's complicated' has a nice ring."

Awww, someone was afraid of friends.

Tony smirked, leaning closer to kiss his neck. "Do you actually have a Facebook? Or have you been trolling them for that information?"

"Huh?" The neck-kissing was distracting, and Tyler stretched his chin up to encourage it.

"Not really. I have a dummy account with a fake name so I can check out whatever game people are obsessing over. You?"

"No, but I enjoy when people make ones and pretend to be me."

Tony would. "Are there fake yous on Twitter yet?" Tyler asked, and twisted his head to kiss the man's ear.

The perils of being a celebrity. Tony put a hand on Tyler's shoulder, pushing lightly so there could be more teenage activities here. "Four that are any good at it."

Not great, mind. But not crap.

Tyler grabbed Tony's wrist to encourage him down on the couch. "Role players," he said dismissively.

Tony ... probably didn't want to know how many Tylers there were on Twitter. Some of them were even coherent.

"They have interesting things to say about my sex life," Tony added, pushing Tyler's shirt up. "Did you know I sleep with a robot?"

"Human Jarvis was pretty hot," Tyler said, mostly to bug Tony. He rose up for a deep kiss.

He was. And the suit was quite possibly the dumbest person Tony had ever met.

But attractive.

Tony pushed up on the shirt until it bunched around Tyler's chest, kissing him back with matching force. "Are you interested in my A.I.?"

"Now you know why I hang around all the time." Tyler squirmed his shoulders around so his shirt would just come off.

"Technophilia is such a turn on," Tony said, teasing him as he... teased him. Lips against the hollow of Tyler's throat.
