Hi hi!

Fandom Fight Club, as outlined in this post is a go. Its first meeting is set for this Sunday in Atlas Gym, and handwavey announcements have been made.

Each week, 5 official fights will be RNGed, and set up for the players to participate in. There will also be a thread for unassigned combat, for those who just want a friendly spar. Anyone who wants to participate is welcome, but any less-than-professional attitude will get a participant removed from FFC.

IC Rules:
1. What happens here, stays here. We can't keep the squirrels out, but if somebody tells you something on the mat, don't repeat it off the mat unless you know they're okay with it.
2. No weapons or powers unless everyone knows in advance and is fighting within their weight class.
3. No shoes.
4. If someone says "stop" or goes limp, the fight is over.
5. Two people to a fight.
6. Fights go on as long as they have to.
7. No tourists. If you need to take a week to see what this is like, cool, but no coming back just to watch. You wanna watch, get a TV; here, everybody fights.
8. No fighting if you're sick/injured. You wanna screw up your body, you do it on your own time.
9. The organizers reserve the right to remove you from the club at any time for violation of these rules. You will get scolded. You will have to deal with a Deeply Unhappy Atreides, and for your own safety, we do not recommend this.

OOC Rules:
1. You might be the best in your canon, but odds are you aren't the best here. Dodging every single blow isn't realistic, and it isn't fair to your sparring partner.
2. Godmodding = Sad Pandas. 1st time someone complains, we'll warn you. 2nd time, a stronger warning, and you're out of FFC for two weeks. 3rd time, you're out for good, and we let the admins know why. Again, it isn't fair, and you wouldn't like it if someone did it to you.

To help set up bouts, we're asking everyone who's still interested to pick a weight class in advance, and also to indicate if they would be using powers. Please wait for the OCD and sign up below. If you want to play out a spar Sunday, please indicate that in your comment.

ETA: In the wise words of [livejournal.com profile] atreideslioness: "Just a note - the grouping you start in is not the one you're stuck in forever!

"If you improve IC, then yes, you can move up! If you suffer an injury, then you can move down to work at a lower level until you're back up to speed. We've got a wonderfully diverse group here, and a great chance to learn from each other while we deal with those pesky 'anger management' issues. If you didn't learn something while hanging out at FFC, well, your organizers are going to be woeful."
