They'd been waiting for Tyler Durden to come back a long time. The three soldiers of Project Mayhem seated in the hotel lobby could wait a little longer.

"What are we going to do when he comes down?" the youngest, most impatient one asked.

"We'll know," said the leader. He was burly and sporting a cast on one arm.

"But -"

"We'll KNOW," the guy with the cast said.

"In Project Mayhem we do not ask questions," the blond reminded him.

They all fell silent and went back to watching the bank of elevators.

"I don't think you understand," Mike said, and suddenly Tony was surrounded, his path to the elevator blocked. "I mean you're coming with us now. Then we'll get Mr. Durden to join us, see?"

There was a glimmer of desperation in his features. "It's the only way."

"Right. Because kidnapping his friend is sure to work for your cause," Tony said dryly. But he didn't move. He was just... looking for an exit.

"It worked before," Dave said. He glanced around the lobby; all the female employees seemed to have vanished.

Good.

He flashed the gun in the waistband of his pants.

"Two choices -- you come now, or we make you."

"You've just made the biggest mistake in your pathetic little life," Tony informed him, hands going up to show surrender.

At least he wasn't shot int he chest this time.

"We'll remember that," Jim deadpanned, then stepped to Tony's side. Mike took the other side, Dave had the back, and they escorted him to a waiting van.

Tony was beginning to think this was some sort of karmic payback for Tyler's visit to his home right about now. "Where are we going?"

It probably was.

"You'll know when we get there," one of the men said, as they drove off.
