So Tyler had spent his day bitching at everyone in the gym, and had been way too honesty with the people who paid his salary.

He'd finally got sent home for calling someone who wanted to fight him his first day in the gym delusional.

"I hate the world and I need a drink," he yelled into the living room. This ... passed for hello.

"Scotch is in the kitchen," Tony replied, finishing up one last email about how he could pay a monkey to throw shit at a wall and get more results.

...this was to his lawyer, sadly.

"So glad you didn't empty it today," Tyler said, going off to pour himself a healthy glass. "I would have had to go to the store and I don't fucking feel like it."

"It's the second bottle of the day," Tony admitted. "Pepper has put a block on my outgoing calls and emails until this runs it's course."

She was smart like that.

"I would be so lost without her."

"You would be, so it's a good thing she has a thing about taking care of you and will stick around as long as you want her," Tyler said. "I try but I'm not really the nurturing type."

He blinked. "Apparently this thing watches a lot of Oprah. Great."

"Oh, please. Oprah sounds nothing like that off camera." Oh, Tony.

Tyler took a seat. "I am ashamed that I am actually asking what Oprah sounds like off camera."

"I'm almost sure she's gay," Tony replied, closing his laptop and sitting back. "And not just because she told me to put my pants back on."

"Isn't it traditional to wait for the girl to say yes before you take your pants off?" Maybe Tyler had been missing opportunities all these years.

"I was drunk at the time." A beat. "It was the 90s."

"And somehow I still find you endearing," Tyler said. "Did you do anything before Pepper got up the firewall?"

"I told Katie Couric her botox looked good," Tony replied.

Yeah, he was going to the special hell.

"She should have taken that as a compliment," Tyler mused. "At least she didn't waste her money, right?"

"This is one of the reasons why I'm glad I settled down with a man."

Tyler squinted. "Don't admit we settled down. I kind of figure if we don't mention it, we won't jinx it."

"Don't draw attention to it, then." Tony frowned, finishing his drink in one go. "I hate days like this."

"Don't bring it up first," Tyler bickered in return. "You aren't alone."

"As long as we don't end up snuggling on the couch again, I think my masculinity will be fine."

Because saying that helped not draw attention to things!

"But I thought you liked snuggling on the couch." Tyler winced. "Shoot me now."

"Gladly. And I do," Tony replied through gritted teeth.

"So do I," Tyler said, somehow making it sound belligerent. "Want me to make popcorn, you pick the movie?"

"I would love it." Yeah, they were a special pair. "I'm picking something old and sappy because I like them, not because I'm lazy."

"And I'll bitch about it, but when I start rubbing my eyes at the end, that's not a reaction to the new cleaner your housekeeper uses."
