Secluded Corner of the Beach, Saturday After Dark
Louis had passed the day in the chambers where he had awakened and now, after dark, he was free to roam through the town.
Most vampires would have hunted, but Louis was not most vampires. He had no taste for the townspeople in their bright, cheap clothes. He was drawn, instead, by the rhythm of the ocean, its endless dance. He could sup on seagulls, perhaps.
He took a seat on the rocks to look at the water, wishing just once to see it blue again instead of ink-black.
[OOC: For one, possibly two? But open if you're on the beach.]

is he there!and she smiled slowly. "I am hungry," she said, her child-like voice soft and endearing. "So hungry, Louis."no subject
But, of course, Lestat was Lestat, and so he kept the cooing to a minimum and his smug smile on his lips as he stepped forward and reached one finger out to tenderly tap at the tip of Claudia's nose.
"We've found ourselves landed on a veritable buffet, ma chérie." And now he was standing again, extending his hand to gesture grandly at the beach before them. "In town, of course. Not here on the beach, no matter how much Louis might favor it. And there's plenty to choose from. I imagine we can find you a new doll in town, as well. Wouldn't you love that?"

"You mock him and you should not, Lestat," she dared to chastise; the remark not as firm, nor as strong, as she'd like, and of course belying the wicked gleam that sparked her eyes. "You will let me have my fill, won't you, Lestat? My dark father, my love?" She would not love a doll and would tell him such, after she's been allowed to play.

"But of course, my dear," he promised, letting her previous comment slide effortlessly to the back of his mind. He'd be certain to remember it later, when it best suited him. "Only the finest for our daughter, isn't that right, Louis?"
He fixed the other man with a dangerous smile before once again turning his attention to Claudia.
"And what are you in the mind for tonight? It appears we have some variety to choose from. A snack in the park, perhaps? Or a walk through the street?"

And he was turning on his heel now, a single swift motion that might as well have been a dance for all his grace, nodding in the direction of town. "A feast, then! Dinner and song, perhaps. All the finest that this island has to offer, we'll take it and make it our own."
